Why We Pray
Jesus encouraged us to pray and He even showed us how to do it.
“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.”
– Matthew 6:9-13
We pray because we want to be a part of God bringing His kingdom here on earth. We believe that prayer changes us.
Our goal is to align our will closely with God’s, and through prayer we both speak to God, but more importantly we hear from Him.
